Story:
The Battle of Purple Heart Lane was a brutal, four-day American assault to capture Carentan.The primary goal of the mission was to link the Allied forces at Utah and Omaha beaches into a single, continuous front. 
 
To achieve this, the U.S. 101st Airborne Division had to advance down Route N13, a narrow and completely exposed causeway. Because the road was flanked on both sides by flooded marshes, the paratroopers had no cover and were forced to move forward in a straight, unprotected line. The German defenders, consisting of elite paratroopers from the 6th Fallschirmjäger Regiment, held heavily fortified positions at the end of the road. 
 
They rained down relentless artillery, mortar, and machine-gun fire onto the advancing Americans. The situation turned into a deadly bottleneck at four separate bridges along the route, where U.S. troops were pinned down for hours with nowhere to hide.
 
The deadlock was finally broken when Lieutenant Colonel Robert Cole ordered a desperate, high-stakes bayonet charge against the German positions. This aggressive assault breached the enemy lines, forcing a German retreat and allowing the Allies to secure Carentan.

Objectives:
• BREAKTHROUGH – 3rd Battalion, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment (502nd PIR) must advance with bayonets fixed through large cabbage patch and an adjacent apple orchard.
 
• HOLD – 6.FJR.Reg must HOLD their strategic defended ground above and repel the advancing American Forces. Counter-attack if possible.
